For my puppy-owning friends (and, alternatively, for liver aficionados), here is a delicious recipe I found and baked up for Ace a few days before I brought her home. These treats are strong enough to encourage my little guy do just about anything, and they are full of protein. And yes, I’ve tasted them. They smell kind of gross in a moist sort of way, but I can see the attraction.
1 lb. beef liver (I used chicken, to Ace’s delight)
1 cup cornmeal
garlic & salt
Mix in food processor or blender until smooth. Pour onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 30 minutes at 350F. When cool, cut into squares.
