After a really nice visit with my extended family, Ace and I are waiting to board our flight back home. She was a big hit with the Philly TSA!
I’m looking forward to not waking up to Ace walking on me, trying to get me to play ball with her in my parents’ yard (I will, however, miss my parents’ yard). Hopefully she’ll sleep like this the entire flight…
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve managed to get Ace’s face on the front page of Dogster again, this time via a (poop-related) product that Ace helped me review. You can read the article here. Notice the low-brow poop jokes interspersed between adorable pictures of Ace and bags of poop. Merry Christmas to me, indeed!
It had been almost a year since I had the opportunity to join Ace and the other Zipdogs at Fort Funston for their daily hike. Since Ace and I are making our biannual trek to the East Coast today, I thought yesterday would be a good day to take off, decompress before all the travel, and enjoy my girl. It was incredibly windy and cold, but watching nine joyful dogs romp in the bright sun through the sea air made the cold melt away (it could also have been the fact that I was winded and sweaty climbing up vertical sand dunes while dogs swirled around me).
As I try to avoid having a panic attack today, I will be thinking about our amazing adventure yesterday. These photos don’t do the hike justice. And to think Ace gets to experience such beauty five days per week!
